UC Irvine employees are expected to maintain a high level of health and safety in all activities and assigned spaces, and are required to follow stringent environmental protection regulations to help maintain the quality of life in Southern California. UCI staffs a department of more than 40 environmental health and safety (EH&S) specialists to assist employees achieve and maintain environmental health and safety excellence. If you are not familiar with the specialist who can assist you, your first contact should be the EH&S coordinator for the School of Physical Sciences. Many problems can be quickly solved, questions answered and resources obtained through the coordinator.
