The Department of Homeland Security is inviting grant applications to enable academic institutions with existing and/or proposed programs in homeland security-related science, technology, engineering, or mathematics to award undergraduate scholarships and/or
graduate fellowships to qualified students who intend to pursue homeland security scientific, technology, engineering, or mathematic careers. The goal is to leverage the academic community to address homeland security needs and develop homeland security's future technical workforce. The program will support projects in 17 topic areas; please see link below for additional information.

FUNDS: up to $200,000 over three years for undergraduate scholarships, and up to
$500,000 over five years for graduate fellowships. 

Each institution may submit only one application per department. Although an institution
may submit multiple applications, it may receive only one HS-STEM grant.
