Geospatial Intelligence Academic Research
The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency is inviting grant applications for research to provide timely, relevant, and accurate geospatial intelligence (GEOINT) to support national security objectives. GEOINT is the exploitation and analysis of imagery and geospatial information to describe, assess, and visually depict physical features and geographically referenced activities on the Earth. GEOINT consists of imagery, imagery intelligence, and geospatial information. NGA offers a variety of critical GEOINT products to support U.S. national security objectives and natural disasters, including aeronautical, geodesy, hydrographic, imagery, targeting, and topographical information.
DEADLINE: White papers are encouraged, and are due April 30, 2013, full proposals September 30, 2013.
FUNDS: $4.8 million is available for awards ranging from $300,000 to $4.8 million.
